IBA recipe:
Let’s toast to making pour decisions!
Today is an extra special day – it’s National Cachaça Day! And what’s the perfect way to celebrate? With Brazil’s very own national cocktail, the caipirinha! This delightful drink comes to life with just three simple ingredients: the heart and soul of Brazil, cachaça, the zesty goodness of lime, and a dash of sweetness from sugar.
Cachaça, often hailed as the spirit that embodies Brazil’s spirit, gives the caipirinha its unique flair. It’s crafted from fermented sugarcane juice and carries the essence of Brazil’s sugarcane fields and tropical vibes.
Creating a caipirinha is a breeze. Start by muddling fresh lime wedges with sugar. Those fragrant lime oils mix with sugar to create a citrusy, sweet base. Then comes the star of the show, cachaça. This potent yet smooth liquor brings a robust, earthy flavor that dances in perfect harmony with the lime-sugar combo.
So, are you ready for the IBA official recipe? Let’s dive right in!
